• How do you know for sure that this person is actually worthy of trying with?
• If you choose to go for it, how do you navigate your anxiety so it doesn't ruin what you've got?

You've always been different from the people around you.  When you were a child, you were often told to be some other way—but no matter how you try, it's just not you.  You've learned to put on a persona to deal with the outside world and you have your things in private which feed you.  When you've tried to be authentic out in the world, you felt like people judged you.  So you withdrew and put your mask back on.  You find yourself knowing so much about the people around you, but no one really knows you.  

• How do you find a way to be in the world (or engage it) that makes it ok to just be what you are?
• How do you have balanced, two way relationships, where you are part of the equation, too?
• How do you make true connection with others when they are so different than you?

You're a caring person that values family.  Your dad is a widower and he's grown more and more dependent on you as he's aged, especially without your mom around.  He gets angry when he has to wait on you to get what he needs (which you understand), but you've got 3 kids, a job, and frankly, a marriage that needs attention.   He's getting more demanding and can only see things from his side.  You understand that he's scared of what's happening to him and that you're the only one he trusts, but you feel overwhelmed, over burdened, resentful, and if you're being honest with yourself, kind of like a slave.  How did you become so invisible when you're giving beyond your limits?  Everyone keeps telling you to put him in a home, but you know it'll be the end of him.  You can't just turn your back on him—he's your dad and you love him.

• How do you know what the right thing is to do?
• How do you take care of yourself in it and make sure he gets what he needs too?
• How do you get out of the perpetual situation where it's either him or you that has to suffer?
• How do you make any kind of decision without feeling soooo much guilt over it?

• How do you support them both without either of them feeling like you're betraying them?
• What about negotiating family gatherings where it seems like everybody has a strong opinion about it all? 
• How do you deal with all your intense feelings over it? 

Your husband is finally dealing with deep, longstanding issues.  Could be drinking, childhood abuse, the death of his mother at an early age.  But in the process, he’s withdrawn from your family life. 

You find out your 11 year old son is online, talking several times a week with a man, in an attempt to fill that void in his life. 

• How do you help navigate him back to safety without scaring the living daylights out of him and damaging him in the process?  Or damaging his openness with you?  
• How do you deal with your intense emotions over it so you’re not taking them out on your son (who is also hurting) or your husband who’s trying to heal? 
• How do you approach your child in a way that helps him to truly understand so he doesn’t turn around and sneak behind your back since he's too young to understand just how dangerous the situation is? 
• How do you do it in a way where he feels empowered and aware so he’s prepared for when it comes up again (because it might).

You get called into the principal’s office because your child threatened another kid and there is a zero tolerance policy in place.  Your child is sensitive and the other kids are less so, crossing her boundaries over and over again. 

• How do you negotiate with the school so that your child doesn’t have to just ‘grow a thicker skin’ (which she’ll never do) or move to another school?  
• How do you give your child a way to negotiate her hardship in this situation so she doesn't feel like she threatened to the point where she has to resort to threats?
• How do you do it in a way where it becomes a growth process for her (instead of chastised and shut down), even though technically, she's in the wrong?
• How do you deal with your feelings of mortification, anger, etc, especially when you're talking with the principal?

You support Women.  You do.  But sometimes it can get.....let's just call it complicated.  Especially when we're talking about a group of Women.  And when you get into those situations, you find yourself saying things like, 'She's crazy!'.  But you don't like how you've judged her in the same way you've been judged in the past.  So you've learned to just back away and not get involved.  But you find yourself longing for friendship.  You're lonely.

• How do you create a sense of safety for yourself with Women who push all your buttons so you can participate in groups?
• How do you express yourself without completely ruining your place in the group or inviting more drama that you don't need right into the middle of your life?

• How do you get things to better balance without feeling like a terrible person? 
• How do you even approach the conversation to begin with?
• How do you deal with your intense feelings when, in a moment of panic, she flips out and tells you that you're selfish?
• Is there even a way to do it without losing the friendship?

You have a tight social group of families where the children all play together.  Your child is very social, easy going and always ready to play with any group of willing kids.  That’s great, right?  But what happens when one of the mothers is insisting that her shy child feels left out and your kid is to blame?  Her words are reasonable, but the tone in her voice says that she's angry.  You ask your child about it, and she says that she tried to include the other kid but he just doesn’t want to participate. 

• How do you address the mother without causing a rift in your tight knit social group of moms? 
• How do you deal with your anxiety and confusion over all of it?
• How do you help your child to negotiate her part of it without unfairly overburdening her with the mother’s pain/issues?

You're a good person, you've had some luck and kindness come your way in life and now you want to give back.  But you don't know what you can do that would help.  You find yourself giving to the people all around you, and while they're grateful in the moment, they turn around and keep doing what you advised them against.  You're starting to doubt yourself.  You desperately want to quit your soul-sucking job, but what can you do to pay the bills too?

• How do you figure out what you have to contribute that will be valued and actually make a difference in the world?
• Is it even possible to make a positive impact in the world when you're already pretty busy with work and life?

You started a business with a friend of yours and it's doing great.  At the time you started together, your partnership was a godsend because you had all the idea & people skills, but felt afraid to tackle the business side of things.  She had the business know-how.  But as time has gone on, you keep getting the feeling that she sees you as dead weight in the running of the business—but you're the one that knows what your customers want and need (and you're the one that provides it, not her).  

• How do you right the balance the your partnership?
• The anger you have inside is roiling.  Even if you knew what to say, how do you have the conversation without losing control, attacking her and making a huge mess that the two of you might not recover from?
• How do you get seen for the contribution you make when she doesn't see it that way?

You did it.  You quit your J-O-B and started your own business.  You know your purpose and you had a gorgeous vision.  You were going to do it on your own terms—not the cut-throat, manipulative, uncaring ways that you had to deal with in the corporate world.  But business is flagging and with a terribly sinking heart, you've had to adopt some of the practices that you hated so much in your job because, frankly, they work.  You can't stand that this is what you're doing—this is the whole reason you quit your job in the first place.  And at least there, you had insurance and a steady paycheck.

• You have so much to offer.  Why can't people see that without being manipulated into buying from you first?
• How do you clarify your message into a beacon so that the people you want to work with recognize it and engage with you?
• How do you conduct sales conversations that don't leave you feel like you need to shower?
• How do you conduct business in a way that is aligned to what you're about without feeling like you'll get taken advantage of in the process?
